What is EAP? - The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a confidential assessment and referral service available to all New York State employees, retirees, and their families. The EAP is not a counseling service; its purpose is to provide people with access to agencies and organizations that can assist them with problems that may be negatively affecting their personal lives and/or their job performance.

What is offered? - The EAP offers assistance in many areas that may affect the lives of its clients. Early identification of problems can often be a positive step toward resolving them. The following are just some of the ways in which the EAP can help:

Contacts

The EAP Coordinator is the contact person for all clients who wish to use these services. Joan Williams, our New York City based Coordinator and Joe Quinlan, our Coordinator based in Albany should be contacted directly.

Both have worked for OSC for years and both have experience in helping clients deal with problems. As EAP Coordinators, they have been thoroughly trained and continue to keep abreast of current EAP issues. Both Joan and Joe are easy to talk with and possess a wealth of valuable information.
